FMEA & DP Trials
DP FMEA Trials (5-Yearly)
Performed every five years, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) Proving Trials ensure the DP system still meets all safety and compliance requirements. These tests confirm that the system will fail safely in real-world conditions—protecting both crew and equipment. DMSS conducts these tests in full compliance with IMO, IMCA, and class society standards (ABS, BV, Lloyds, DNV-GL, etc.).
DP Annual Trials
Annual DP trials verify the functionality of the system under operational and failure conditions. We test all vessel maneuvers to ensure full compliance with FMEA outcomes and previous trial results—maintaining your vessel’s DP certification.
Pre- and Post-Docking Trials
These trials are streamlined versions of the annual DP trials, conducted before and after dry docking. They confirm DP system performance and identify any issues that can be addressed during scheduled maintenance.

Installation & Commissioning
Dynamic Marine Survey & Solutions focuses on supplying our customers with a team of qualified engineers to perform installation, setup as well as interfacing of new equipment to Automation or Dynamic Positioning system. This accompanied by the correct documentation, customer specific compiled manuals to aid the customer needs.
